Old St. Augustine Village FACILITIES USE POLICY

  • Fee - The fee to use the grounds at Old St. Augustine Village is $600.00 for the period beginning 6:00 P.M. to 10:00 P.M. Each additional hour or part thereof, (earlier than 6:00 P.M. or later than 10:00 P.M.) will be billed at $100.00/hr. Florida sales tax (6%) will be added unless tax exempt forms are provided to the Museum of Arts and Sciences, 1040 Museum Blvd., Daytona Beach, FL 32114. The fee and proof of insurance must be provided two weeks prior to the event.
  • Deposit - An additional check for $150.00 is required to hold your date on the schedule. No reservation is guaranteed until the check is delivered to the administrative office at Old St. Augustine Village. Provided no damages have occurred, the premises are left clean and in acceptable condition, and time limits are not exceeded, this deposit will be refunded following the event. The deposit is also refundable should your reservation be cancelled at least sixty days prior to your scheduled event.
  • Insurance - Any person or organization using the property of Old St. Augustine Village must provide, at least two weeks prior to the scheduled event, a copy of an insurance certificate naming the Museum of Arts and Sciences as co-insured with the individual(s) or agency using the property, for the entire period of the event, and in the minimum amount of $300,000 combined single limit of liability.
  • Conduct - Because of the value of the collections, including gardens and buildings, at Old St. Augustine Village, the user agrees to maintain order and proper conduct. Such shall be the responsibility of the individual(s) sponsoring the event and the organization which they represent. A staff member of Old St. Augustine Village will be present at all times during your function. The staff person is the final authority on any questions or restrictions during the event.
  • Equipment - Old St. Augustine Village does not provide any equipment (chairs, tables, audio-visual, cleaning supplies, or trash cans etc.). All such requirements are the responsibility of the individual(s) or organizations concerned. In addition, all arrangements for delivery of equipment and set-up activities must be coordinated with the staff at Old St. Augustine Village. Equipment must be picked-up prior to 9 A.M. the day after your event.
  • The selling of alcoholic beverages during a rental event is STRICTLY PROHIBITED. The Village is a NO SMOKING facility.
  • The kitchen may be utilized as a staging, serving and cleaning area only. No cooking or food preparation is allowed. The kitchen must be thoroughly cleaned by the caterer/renter. All areas must be thoroughly cleaned and trash removed by the caterer/renter.
  • Any damage to parts of the Village or artwork/collections, any special cleaning costs, or any other Village expenses incurred because of the function will be billed to the renter.
  • All entertainment must be approved prior to staging of event. Amplified music is discouraged in respect for surrounding residential neighborhoods.
