STAR GENERAL STORE, circa 1899-1904

This original residence had housed a kindergarten, a doll and toy store, and a millinery shop before undergoing conversion into two apartments for women of the de Medicis family in 1921.

Prominent business owners in the late 1800s, the de Medicis also owned and occupied the Canova House just east of the Store building.
